Structured Project Hierarchies

Videos are organized within workspaces, projects, and tasks. This hierarchy mirrors how production teams actually think about their work: the studio has a workspace, each client or campaign is a project, and each deliverable is a task with its associated video files.

Unlike generic cloud storage where folder structures are invented ad hoc and decay over time, RecReview enforces a consistent organizational model with built-in version control. Every file has a clear home, every project has a predictable structure, and new team members can navigate the workspace immediately.

Search and filtering let you find any video across the workspace by name, project, status, date, or tags. For studios managing hundreds of deliverables, fast discovery is as important as good organization.

Automatic Encoding and Thumbnails

Upload your video in any common format and RecReview handles encoding for streaming playback. Thumbnails and storyboard frames are generated automatically, giving every video a visual identity without any manual effort.

The encoding pipeline is optimized for review playback, not archival. Videos are ready to stream within minutes of upload, even for long-form content. This speed is critical during active review cycles when stakeholders are waiting to watch the latest cut.

Storage That Scales With Your Business

Plans include generous storage allocations that scale with your needs. The Creator plan includes 500 GB, Pro includes 2 TB, and Studio includes 5 TB. Storage is shared across your workspace so you allocate it where it is needed most.

Detailed storage usage is visible in workspace settings so you always know where you stand. When a project wraps, archive or delete old versions to reclaim space. The storage model is designed for active production use where files are constantly being uploaded, reviewed, and prepared for video delivery.

Secure Cloud Infrastructure

Files are stored on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with redundancy and encryption. Video streaming is delivered through a global CDN for fast playback regardless of where your team or clients are located. See our security features for details on content protection.

Access to files is governed by workspace membership and share settings. There is no way to access a video without proper authorization, whether that is a workspace login or a valid share token. Your content is protected at every level of the stack.

Frequently asked questions

What video formats are supported?

RecReview accepts all common video formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, and ProRes. Uploaded videos are automatically encoded for streaming playback. The original file specifications are preserved in the metadata.

How much storage do I get?

Storage depends on your plan: Creator includes 500 GB, Pro includes 2 TB, and Studio includes 5 TB. Storage is shared across your entire workspace.

Is there a maximum file size per upload?

Yes — 2 GB per file on Creator, 5 GB on Pro, and 10 GB on Studio. For most delivery formats that is plenty; if you routinely upload very large masters (long-form ProRes, for example), Pro or Studio is the right fit.

Can I download original quality files?

Download permissions are controlled through share settings. Workspace members can download files based on their role. External reviewers and clients can download only if the share link has download permissions enabled.
