Screenlight is offline: where to move your review

Screenlight, the video review and delivery tool, no longer works. Here is what happened and where its users can go.

If you still have Screenlight links in emails or contracts, they no longer open your videos. The job it did is easy to replace: upload a cut, send a link, collect notes on the frame, approve.

What happened to Screenlight

Screenlight was a simple review and delivery tool for post-production. It was still running in mid-2024. By April 2026 the screenlight.tv address had been registered by an unrelated owner, and today it doesn't load at all. We found no public shutdown announcement.

That means old review links and client delivery pages are gone. If you kept your masters and exports, nothing is lost: Screenlight held review copies, and the originals usually live with the editor.

Frequently asked questions

Has Screenlight shut down?

Yes. screenlight.tv no longer loads, and in April 2026 the address was registered by an unrelated owner. It was still running in mid-2024. We found no public shutdown notice, so we can't give an exact date.

Can I recover my files from Screenlight?

We have no access to Screenlight's servers. Screenlight held review copies, so look for the original exports with whoever edited the project, or in the storage you used before uploading.

What is the best Screenlight alternative?

For simple review and delivery at a low price, Kollaborate is the closest. For review plus the project board and hours, RecReview (we build it, so weigh that). Frame.io and Wipster are the best-known review-only tools.

Should I remove old Screenlight links?

Yes. The old address now belongs to someone else, so a link in an email, contract or website can send clients to an unrelated site.
