What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI apps use to connect to outside tools. RecReview runs an MCP server at https://rec.review/mcp, so ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients can read and update your productions after you sign in.

Which AI apps work with RecReview?

ChatGPT (official app) and Claude (directory connector), plus Claude Code, Gemini CLI and Microsoft Copilot Studio through the RecReview server URL, https://rec.review/mcp.

Which RecReview plans include it?

Every paid plan. The free trial doesn’t include it. Clients of a production company connect through their production company’s plan.

Does RecReview see my conversation with the AI?

No. RecReview only receives the requests the app makes to your account, like “list the tasks due this week”. The conversation stays with the AI provider.

Can the assistant approve a video on its own?

Approving, delivering or recording a client verdict takes two steps: the first call only returns a summary of what will happen, and the assistant is instructed to show it and wait for your confirmation. ChatGPT and Claude also ask your permission before running an action that changes something, unless you have allowed it.
