The plan editor is a table: one row per block, in shooting order. You set the rows and the durations, and the Time column follows from the plan’s start time.
Add blocks
- Open the plan from the Shoots tab.
- Click Add and pick what you are adding: Video, Gallery or Operational block.
- For a video, Add Videos opens a list of the workspace’s videos. Videos already in the plan are marked In plan; the rest show as Available.
- For an operational block, choose the type: Team Arrival, Talent Arrival, Snack Break, Lunch Break, Setup Change, Wrap or Custom.
To create videos that do not exist yet, use Paste list — one title per line — and click Create. Every line becomes a video task and a block.
Put them in order
Drag a row by its handle on the left. The Time column recalculates for every row below the one you moved, so ordering the day is scheduling the day.
Set the durations
Two duration columns do different jobs:
- Video Duration is how long the finished video should be.
- Recording Duration is how long the block occupies on set. This is the number the schedule uses.
Set a Pace in the plan header and RecReview works out the recording duration from the video duration for you. To change a single row, type a duration directly.
If several rows share the same number, set the first one and use Apply duration below to push it to the rows underneath.
Tip: Operational blocks have no video duration. Type the recording duration straight in — a setup change that really takes 25 minutes should say 25.
Fill in the row
Beyond durations, each video row carries Code, Title, Note, Talent, Script and Status, plus a Location. The note column is for the one line the crew needs at that moment: “shoot against the window”, “second mic”.
During the shoot
- Tick the checkbox on a block when it is finished. The block is marked Done and stamped with the time it was completed.
- The editor then shows the Actual time next to the planned time, and how far ahead or behind that block ran.
- Click the value to correct it if someone ticked the box late.
Nothing is locked. You can still reorder, retime and add blocks mid-shoot, and the remaining times recalculate from wherever you are.
