Teleprompter controls

Everything the presenter sees is driven from the Command Center. Changes reach the talent display immediately, and there is nothing to save.

Scrolling

Press Space to start and stop the scroll. Speed is a slider, and the arrow keys nudge it in steps of 10. You can find the presenter’s pace in a couple of taps without stopping the scroll.

Text

The text card holds the three settings that decide legibility on set:

• Font — the type size on the talent screen. Bigger type shows fewer words, so it interacts with speed.
• Margin — how much horizontal space is left empty. Narrower text is easier to read on a wide monitor.
• Style — Bold (B), alignment (Centered or Left aligned) and Mirror (M) for a beamsplitter rig.

The card’s Show/hide on the talent screen switch pulls the script off the display without ending the session, leaving the timer alone on screen. It only becomes available once the timer is on, so the presenter is never left looking at nothing.

Timer

The timer is a separate card with its own on/off switch, so you can run a clock with no script.

1. Turn the timer on with the switch. It appears on the talent screen.
2. Click the readout to set a Duration. It accepts 15 for fifteen minutes, 14:42, or 1:05:00, up to three hours. Leave it empty and the timer counts up instead of down.
3. Use Start and Pause to control it, and Reset to put it back to the duration.
4. Hover the readout mid-take for the quick chips — +30s, +1m, +5m — which extend the clock without resetting what has elapsed.

The digits change colour as the time runs out and switch to counting overtime past zero, so the presenter reads the state without reading a number.

The timer survives the Command Center being closed and reopened. A reopened session inherits the running clock instead of restarting it.

Notices

The Notice card sends one short line to the talent screen, up to 120 characters. Type it, press Enter or the send button, and it appears. The card shows On screen while it is visible; clear it with the remove button.

This is how you say “slow down”, “look at camera 2” or “we’re rolling” without walking into frame.

Blocks and the schedule

The Command Center shows the plan’s schedule alongside the script. Move between takes with n and p, and press Enter to mark the current block complete. That is the same tick you would make in the plan editor, so the day’s actual times stay honest without anyone switching tabs.

Keyboard shortcuts

Note: Shortcuts are ignored while you are typing in a field, so writing a notice never starts or stops the scroll.
