Approve the video or request changes

Comments are notes. Approve and Request changes are the decisions — each one notifies the studio and changes the video’s status on their side. Replying to the notification email does not count.

Send your verdict

  1. Open the video. In a portal, it is under Awaiting your review on Home, or in Deliveries.
  2. Watch it through and leave your comments first.
  3. Click Your Feedback at the bottom of the player.
  4. Choose Approve or Request changes.

After Approve, a confirmation appears with Download final video, and a download link arrives by email. After Request changes, the screen confirms the team has been notified.

Tip: Put the detail in time-coded comments, not in the verdict. Request changes tells the editor that something is wrong; the comments tell them what and where.

What each state means

State Meaning
Awaiting your review The studio sent it and is waiting on you
Approved You approved this version
Changes requested You asked for adjustments

The state belongs to one version. When the studio uploads a new cut, it starts as Awaiting your review again, and your earlier approval stays attached to the version you approved.

Changing your mind

Open Your Feedback again and pick Request changes. You get a confirmation first — Reopen this video for changes? — because the team is notified and the video goes back into the queue. Keep approval cancels.

Reviewing with colleagues

Everyone on the studio’s contact list for your company sees the same page and the same comments. Only one approval is needed, so agree internally before someone clicks it.

What’s next

Once it is approved, get the final files.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change my mind after approving?
Yes. Open Your Feedback again and choose Request changes. The screen warns you that the team will be notified and the video goes back into review, which may move the delivery date.
Why can I comment but not approve?
Some studios split the roles: reviewers comment and request changes, managers approve and download. Ask whoever sent you the link to change your role.
