The browser version is the whole product — nothing is locked behind an app. Install the Mac app when you want RecReview to watch your export folder and upload finished renders by itself.
Download and install
- Open the Mac app page.
- Click Download for Mac.
- Open the file you downloaded and drag RecReview into your Applications folder.
The same download works on every Mac. The app is free with your account, and from then on it updates itself.
Sign in
- Open RecReview and click sign in.
- Confirm in the browser window that opens.
- You land back in the app, already signed in.
Google and Apple sign-in work there too. You can stay signed in on the app and in the browser at the same time — comments, statuses and uploads sync live between them.
What the app adds
- Watch Folders — point RecReview at your export folder and finished renders upload by themselves. A filename containing a video code (for example
ABC_001) is attached to that task as a new version. - Native macOS notifications for comments, approvals and deliveries.
- Open at login, so watch folders keep running without you thinking about it.

Reviewing on a phone or tablet
There is nothing to install. Open RecReview in the phone’s browser and the dashboard adapts to the screen. You can watch a cut, read and reply to comments, and see what is waiting on you — enough to keep a review moving from a taxi.
Which browsers work
Any current version of Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox, on macOS, Windows or Linux. Plans and payment live in the browser only, so that is where you change a subscription.
