Complete your portal profile

Client portalUpdated September 2, 20261 min read

Your portal profile is what the production team sees next to your comments and approvals. Fill it in on your first visit: a contact with no name and no photo shows up as grey initials, and a run of feedback like that is hard to follow.

Add your name and photo

  1. In the portal, click your avatar in the top-right corner.
  2. Click My profile — or Complete your profile, if something is missing.
  3. Click Upload photo and pick an image. It must be a JPG, PNG or WEBP under 2 MB.
  4. Fill in Display name.
  5. Click Save changes.

A Verified badge next to your email means the address is confirmed. That happens the first time you enter the emailed code or sign in with Google or Microsoft.

Set your language and theme

Still in My profile:

  • AppearanceTheme: System, Light or Dark.
  • Language: System or a specific language.

The language you pick here is also the language of the emails this client sends you. A Brazilian team can write to an American client without either side switching.

Choose which emails you get

Open the Notifications tab and toggle:

  • New deliveries — a video, gallery, script or production plan shared with you.
  • Comments and mentions — a reply to your comment, a mention, or a new comment on a video.

Turning a category off silences both the email and the bell for it. Details in Emails and notifications your client receives.

Note: The profile exists only on portals set to Verified login. On a portal that anyone can open with the link, there is no contact to attach a profile to.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there a dot on my avatar?
It marks a missing name or photo. The menu item reads Complete your profile and tells you which one is missing; it goes back to My profile once both are filled.
Does the photo change my RecReview account?
No. This profile belongs to your contact in this client's portal. If you signed in with Google or Microsoft, that photo is used as a starting point, and anything you upload here replaces it.
