An upload that stopped is usually recoverable. A dropped connection normally costs you seconds, not the whole file.
Read the state first
Each item in the upload list shows where it is: Pending, Uploading, Finalizing…, Completed, Failed or Cancelled.
Finalizing… is not stuck. The file has arrived and is being put back together. A big one can sit there for a while.
If it says the connection was lost
You see: Connection lost during the upload. Retry to resume from where it stopped.
Click the retry button on the failed item. What already went up is still there, so it picks up where it stopped instead of starting the file again.
This works as long as you have not reloaded the page.
What actually loses progress
Closing the tab, reloading, or navigating away. Your browser holds the file, so once the page is gone there is nothing to resume from and that file starts from zero.
Your browser warns you while an upload is running. Take the warning seriously.
Leaving the computer alone is fine. A sleeping laptop is not.
Tip: If you upload every day, install the Mac app and point a watch folder at your export destination. Renders upload by themselves, with no tab to keep open. See RecReview for Mac.
If files were skipped before uploading
The list tells you why: not a video, over 10GB, or already in the queue. Nothing failed — those files were never accepted.
Other messages you might see
- File exceeds your plan’s size limit. — export a lighter version, or upgrade.
- Storage quota exceeded for your plan. — see Storage is full.
- Session expired — please sign in again. — sign in and add the file again.
- Couldn’t confirm the upload. — check the dashboard before re-sending. The video may already be there.
If it is stuck with no error
Wait. RecReview picks up uploads that freeze, on its own. It either finishes the upload or leaves the video in a state you can act on. You do not have to set anything off.
If an hour has passed and the video is still not usable, send us the review link — see Contact support.
