Every comment in RecReview carries a timecode. The comment box shows which moment you are about to pin — Comment at 0:12… — and that is where the note lands on the timeline.
Steps
- Play or scrub to the moment you want to talk about. Pause if you want to be precise; the arrow keys move one frame at a time.
- Click the comment box at the bottom of the panel.
- Type your note. Use
@to bring up the mention list. - Click Send.
The comment appears in the list on the right and a marker lands on the timeline at that second.
The timecode locks as soon as you start typing, rounded to the nearest second. So you can scrub back mid-sentence to check something, and the note still lands where you meant it.
What a comment can carry
Alongside the text, a single comment can carry:
- a drawing on the frame — see Draw annotations on a frame;
- a screen, camera or microphone recording — see Record a video or audio comment;
- up to three file attachments;
- mentions of teammates and client contacts.
Commenting as a visitor
People who open a share link don’t need an account. If the link requires identification they enter a name and email once, and the browser remembers them. Commenting has to be enabled on the link — see Share a video link.
Note: Comments from visitors are always visible to everyone with access. Only workspace members can write team-only notes.
Finding a comment again
Click any marker on the timeline to jump to it. The All / Comments / AI Review filter above the list separates human feedback from what the AI flagged, and Auto-scroll keeps the list in sync with playback.
