A recorded note carries tone and timing that written feedback loses. RecReview records it in the browser and attaches it to the timecode you were on.
Before you begin
Your browser asks for microphone, camera or screen permission the first time. If you deny it, the comment box shows an error and no recording starts.
Steps
- Pause at the moment you want to talk about.
- In the comment box, click the microphone icon (Record audio), the camera icon (Record video), or the screen icon to capture your screen.
- Choose your camera and microphone from the device menu if you have more than one.
- A 3-2-1 countdown runs, then recording starts. The box shows Recording and the elapsed time.
- Click Finish to stop.
- Play the result back. Re-record discards it and starts over.
- Add text if you want, then click Send.

Recording stops automatically at the limit and keeps what it captured, so nothing is lost.
How it lands on the timeline
A recorded comment doesn’t sit on a single point. It starts at the timecode you were on and runs for as long as the recording, so on the timeline it covers the stretch of video you were talking over.
Tip: A screen recording is the fastest way to show a reference — open the reference, hit record and narrate the difference.
