You often need two conversations on the same video: one with the client, one with your editor. The Team only switch in the comment box decides which one you are having.
Steps
- Write the comment as usual.
- Turn on Team only — the switch next to Send, marked with a padlock.
- Send.
The comment lands on the same timeline as everything else, marked Private, and stays visible to your workspace only.
Who sees a team-only comment
| Viewer | Sees it |
|---|---|
| Workspace members and the video owner | Yes |
| Client contacts in the portal | No |
| Visitors on a share link | No |
| Marker exports (Premiere / DaVinci) | Only when exported by a workspace member |
A team-only note is not merely hidden on screen: it does not reach the client side at all — not in the portal, not in an export, not in an email.
Replies have their own setting
A reply carries its own visibility. The reply box has a Team / Public toggle, so you can answer a client’s public comment with an internal note under it — or the other way round.
Warning: The switch remembers your last choice inside the comment box for that session. Glance at it before sending the first comment of a review.
Mentions inside a private note
Mentioning someone on a team-only comment only reaches workspace members. Client contacts and the client group are not notified, because they cannot open the comment in the first place.
