The file you uploaded stays available for download from the review page, under the same access rules as the video itself.
Steps
- Open the review page.
- Click the green Download button on the status pill, next to the approval state. A panel opens.
- Click Download final video.
- For a lighter file, open Download in another resolution first and pick one of the resolutions listed.
You get the original file back, named after the linked task where there is one — for example ABC_001 - Brand film.mp4 — rather than whatever the file was called on your drive.
Who can download
| Viewer | Can download |
|---|---|
| Video owner and workspace members | Yes |
| A client’s manager contact | Yes, once the video is approved |
| Other client contacts | No |
| Visitors on a restricted (private) video | No |
When a client is set to allow downloads before approval, a manager contact also gets a download entry in the actions menu while the video is still in review. Every download by someone outside the workspace is recorded, and the team is notified when an unapproved video is pulled.
Older versions
Each version has its own file. Open the version you want from the versions panel and download from there — the download always gives you the cut you are looking at, not the newest one.
Note: Approving a video also emails the client a download link, so they rarely need to come back to the page for it.
