An upload doesn’t have to finish everything before you can use it. RecReview saves your file first and makes the video watchable as early as possible; the rest of the work carries on while you review.
The stages
The message under the progress bar tells you which stage you are on:
| What it says | What is happening |
|---|---|
| Uploading video… | Your file is going up. This is the longest part by far. |
| Preparing analysis… | The upload landed. The video is watchable from here. |
| Queued for processing… | Waiting its turn for the AI. |
| AI review in progress… | The AI is going through the video. |
| Finalizing analysis… | Writing the findings onto the timeline. |
Watchable is not the same as finished
While the AI review runs you can already play the video, leave time-coded comments and share the link. The panel shows AI analyzing… in the meantime. Two things arrive later:
- the AI findings on the timeline;
- the smoothest playback quality, so the player may show Optimizing playback… at first and settle down once the better quality is ready.
Statuses you may see
- Processing / Analyzing — work in progress.
- Ready — the video plays. If the bar isn’t full, there is still work finishing behind it.
- Completed — everything finished, AI report included.
- Failed — processing could not finish. The page offers to try again.
Note: A video can finish as Ready with a full bar rather than Completed. That means the video is fine and available, but the AI review didn’t produce a report. Nothing you uploaded is lost.
When it looks stuck
If nothing moves for a while, the page says Processing seems stuck and offers Try again, which picks the remaining work back up without re-uploading the file.
