Invoices and payment methods

Need a past invoice, a new payment method, or a company name on your receipts? All three live in the Stripe billing portal, which you open from RecReview.

Before you start: you have to be a workspace owner or admin, and the workspace needs an active subscription. During the trial there is no billing account yet.

Open the billing portal

  1. Click your avatar at the top right and choose Workspace Settings.
  2. Open the Billing tab.
  3. Press Payment on the plan card.

Stripe opens in a new tab. There you can download every past invoice as a PDF, change the payment method on file, and edit the billing name, address and tax details that appear on future invoices.

Card or Pix

Customers billed in Brazil can choose credit card or Pix at checkout. Everywhere else, checkout takes cards.

With Pix, the subscription uses Pix Automático: you scan the QR code once and approve RecReview’s recurring charge in your banking app. From then on the monthly (or yearly) fee is debited automatically, with no new QR code.

  • Depending on your bank’s notification settings, you get a notice a few days before each debit, with the exact amount.
  • The approval shows a maximum amount per charge, above your plan’s price. That headroom lets you upgrade without approving again. You only pay your plan’s price.
  • You can revoke the approval in your banking app at any time. If you do that without switching to a card, the next charge fails (see below).

Warning: A Pix subscription can’t switch between Monthly and Yearly, because the bank approval covers a fixed billing period. To switch, change the payment method to a card in the portal first.

Which payment method is charged

The one you chose at checkout, for that workspace. Billing is per workspace: if you own more than one paying workspace, each has its own subscription, its own invoices and its own payment method.

Currency and country

Invoices are issued in the currency tied to Billing country, at the bottom of the Billing tab — dollars by default, reais for customers billed in Brazil. Change the country before you subscribe. It decides the currency at checkout.

If a payment fails

Stripe retries the charge and emails you. Until one succeeds, the workspace can be marked as unpaid, which blocks new uploads.

Fix it by updating the payment method in the billing portal. With Pix, also check that the approval is still active in your banking app. The subscription picks up again as soon as a charge goes through.

Note: Add-ons (+500 GB, +100 min IA) are separate monthly subscriptions on the same account, so they appear as their own lines in the portal. With Pix, each add-on has its own bank approval.
