Metrics: team activity and each person's day

Metrics turns the time your team logs, the shoots they’re on and the tasks they move into a picture of the work: how much got done, where the hours went, and what each person did on a given day.

Only workspace owners and admins see it. Open it from the Metrics tab on the dashboard.

Pick the period

At the top right, choose 7 days, 30 days or All. Custom opens Custom range: pick the start and end dates and click Apply.

The period you choose is remembered the next time you open Metrics. A custom range isn’t — it’s treated as a one-off look.

Metrics is split into four tabs: Overview, Team, Production and Clients & review. This article covers the hours and the team; the rest follow the same period and filters.

Hours logged

On Overview, the Hours logged chart shows the period’s hours as stacked bars. Use the switch on the card to split them by Client, Project, Phase or Person. The busiest eight get their own color; the rest are grouped as Others.

For short periods each bar is a day; for longer ones, a week or a month.

Team’s day

On Team, Team’s day shows everyone’s workday on one shared clock — one row per person.

  • Each block is a timer session, colored by client. Hover it to see the task; click it to open the task.
  • A REC band is a shoot that person was on. A solid band uses the real time it happened; a dashed one is the time planned in the production plan.
  • Breaks of 30 minutes or more stay empty, with their length written in.
  • On the right, the hours worked and the time the day started and ended.
  • Under the rows, Nothing logged lists the people with no time and no shoot that day.

Click a person’s name to expand their day step by step — when they started, when they stopped and the gaps in between. From there, Uploads, comments and status changes of this day opens the full detail.

Move between days with Previous day and Next day, click the date to jump to any day, or click Today. The card opens on the most recent day anyone logged time, so you don’t land on an empty today.

Team activity

Below it, Team activity is a grid of people by days. The darker the cell, the more hours that person logged. A red dot marks a shoot; a green dot, a task they completed.

Hover a cell for Hours logged, Tasks worked on, Recordings and Tasks completed. Click it for that person’s detail.

The grid shows days for periods of up to about six weeks, and weeks beyond that. With All, it shows the Last 26 weeks.

One person’s detail

Clicking a cell in the grid, a person in Team productivity, or the full-detail link in Team’s day opens a side panel with:

  • Hours in period, Active days (or Active weeks), Recordings and Tasks completed for the whole period.
  • A bar for each day of the period. Click a bar to switch to that day.
  • For the selected day: the timer sessions on a clock, Where the time went task by task, and a Timeline that mixes sessions, shoots, status and phase changes, deliveries, uploads and comments.

Every task in the panel opens with a click. View tasks takes you to the Table filtered by that person.

Comments appear as a count only — “left 3 comments” — never their text.

Team productivity and capacity

Also on Team:

  • Team productivity — per person, hours, videos worked on, recording days, hours per video and tasks done in the period. Sessions over 12 hours are flagged as sessions >12h: usually a timer someone forgot to stop.
  • Team capacity — what each person has on their plate right now: hours left on their estimates, active tasks and the next deadline. Click a person to see their tasks.

Time zone

Every day in Metrics is a day in your time zone — the one set on the device you’re using. A session that runs until 11 p.m. in São Paulo counts on that day, not the next one in UTC.

If two admins look from different time zones, a late-night session can land on different days for each of them. That’s expected.

Filters

The client and project dropdowns in the dashboard header narrow every chart, including the team views. Picking All clients leaves archived clients out, so the numbers match the board.

Picking a person in the header filters the Overview charts to them. In Team activity, that person is pinned to the top and highlighted instead, so you can still compare them with the rest of the team.

The day detail in the side panel always shows everything the person did that day, across all clients. When a filter is on, the panel says All clients next to the date.

Frequently asked questions

Who can see Metrics?
Workspace owners and admins. Other roles don't see the Metrics tab on the dashboard.
Which time zone do the days use?
Yours. Metrics uses the time zone of the device you're viewing on, so a session at 10 p.m. counts on that day, not the next. Two admins in different time zones can see the same session on different days.
Can I see what someone wrote in their comments?
No. The daily timeline only counts comments. To read them, open the task.
Why does someone show 14 hours on one day?
Usually a timer that was left running. Sessions over 12 hours are flagged as timer 12h+ and still count in full in the hours.
