A client is who you deliver to. A project groups that client’s work — a campaign, a series, a launch. Create the client first: its code becomes the prefix of every video code RecReview generates.
Before you begin
Only workspace admins and owners can create or edit clients and projects. Other members see them and filter by them.
Create a client
- In the header, open the client dropdown. It reads All Clients when nothing is picked.
- Under Clients, click +. A form opens.
- Fill in Client Name and Internal Code.
- Add Contact Email and Website Domain if you have them.
- Click Create Client.
Choose the Internal Code carefully. It becomes the prefix of every video code for this client: ACME_001, ACME_002, and so on.
Create a project
- Open the project dropdown, next to the client dropdown.
- Under Projects, click +.
- Fill in Project Name and pick the Client.
- Add a Code, a Delivery Deadline and a Description if you want.
- Click Create Project.
A project always belongs to one client. In the task form, the project list stays empty until you pick a client — you’ll see Select a client first.
Filter the dashboard by client or project
The two header dropdowns are also the dashboard’s main filter. Pick a client and every view narrows to it: Kanban, Table, Videos, Metrics. Pick a project to narrow further. Choose All Clients to see the whole workspace again.
Archive a client you no longer work with
Archiving keeps the history and takes the client out of the everyday lists.
- Open the client dropdown and choose Manage, then the client’s name.
- In the dialog footer, click Archive.
To bring it back, open the same dialog and click Restore. To see archived clients again, turn on Include archived clients in the Filter panel.
Note: Archiving is not deleting. Tasks, videos and time entries stay exactly where they are.
What’s next
