Every task keeps a log of what happened to it and who did it. Open it when you need the answer to “when did this go to the client” or “who moved it back” without asking anyone.
Open the log
- Open the task. A panel opens on the right.
- Go to the Activities tab.
Events are grouped by day, newest first, with Today and Yesterday spelled out. The counter shows how many events there are.
What gets recorded
- Workflow — task created, status changed, phase changed, blocker set, changed or cleared, task renamed, client or project changed, recording dates changed, assignees updated, marked as urgent.
- Deadlines — client deadline changed, internal deadline changed, deadline clock paused, deadline clock resumed.
- Client-facing — sent to the client, resent, approved, changes requested, review updated, email sent, script sent to the client.
- Versions and feedback — version uploaded, version moved to trash, script attached, comment resolved, subtask completed.
- Time — time logged.
- Integrations — webhook triggered.
Filter the log
The row of filters above the timeline narrows it: All, Workflow, Client or Time.
Client keeps only the events that touched the client — deliveries, approvals, change requests and emails. Time keeps only logged hours.
Who did it
Each entry names the person. When a rule did the work, the actor reads Automation. When the platform itself did, it reads System. That is how you tell a status change you made from one an automation made for you.
Note: Entries can’t be edited or removed. That is what makes the log usable as a record when a client asks when something was sent.
What’s next
If an automation is doing something you didn’t expect, the log names the change it made. Then open Workspace Settings → Automations to adjust the rule — see How automations work.
